In 2009 Jered Sprecher received the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship. Most recently, his work was exhibited at Jeff Bailey Gallery (New York), Steve Zevitas Gallery (Boston), ADA Gallery (Richmond, Virginia), Cheekwood Museum of Art (Tennessee) and Calvin College (Michigan). In previous years Sprecher's work was included in group shows at The Drawing Center (New York), Mark Moore Gallery (Santa Monica, CA), Wendy Cooper Gallery (Chicago), and solo shows at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (Dublin), The Flourescent Gallery (Knoxville) and Arthouse (Austin, Texas) among others. Sprecher received his M.A. and M.F.A. from The University of Iowa and currently an Assistant Professor at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
